Bill was an investigator for the special crimes unit in Hong Kong till he assaulted his superior. Because of his reckless nature he was demoted to EU (emergency unit) and joined a new team. The team was formed by an interesting group of people, a gun expert, a computer expert, then there was the cop that followed every rule and regulation to the letter and finally an old wise man who always had a story to tell. While on patrol they ran into a gang of violent criminals and several of their fellow policemen were injured. Bill took this personally and vowed to stop the criminals. With some information from the investigation department, they found out this gang was led by a man called the Professor. They follow the trail of clues against the orders from their superiors and finally discover the plan of the criminals and decide to stop them.

Two doctors (Tong Sang & Bond) decide to open a clinic in a poor area of Shanghai, soon after the Axe Gang comes into the village and start harassing the people. The doctors being well skilled in the art of Kung Fu decide to get involved. The towns people ask Tong Sang to go talk to the land lord for help, luck would have it the land lord is Raymond who was Tong Sang`s old teacher from the UK. They finally come to an agreement with the axe gang and the villagers and all the trouble is put behind them. One day when Tong is working in Raymond`s hospital he meets a woman who cant talk, Tong says he can cure her sickness. She turns out to be Lau Chi`s sister, he is the leader of the axe gang. Lau Chi has no like for the doctor as he ruined his plans with the towns people.

The princess Pei Pei is convinced to go to America by an English teacher in service of the imperial family. When she arrives in America she soon discovers that she is going to be held against her will by a traitor from the royal guards who left China long ago. The emperor must pay a ransom of gold to retrieve the princess. Imperial guards are sent to America, Chon Wang (Jackie Chan) gets to tag along to help his uncle who is serving as translator. During their ride on the train to Carson city bandits attack the train. Chon pursues the bandits and manages to stop their plan. Chon manages to escape to continues his journey to Carson city and will eventually team up with Roy (One of the bandits from the train) who hears that there is gold involved in the rescuing of the princess.
