The year is 1963, and for nearly a decade the Kurashima City police have been waging a war with the local Yakuza in hopes of eliminating the present element of organized crime. Through their attempts, all have fallen save the leaderless Ohara gang and the Kawade organization. Upon departure to a lengthy stay in prison, Ohara left in charge one Kenji Hirotani, a young upstart whose responsibility has been to keep the family together and to further Ohara’s riches. Meanwhile, Hirotani’s nemesis Kawade has recently come into his corrupt possession, the good graces of a former gangster turned newly appointed assemblyman. Fear not though, Hirotani’s old friend is the hardboiled detective Kuno who lives his life, and career, riding the line between law enforcer and outlaw. Bullets fly, “R’s” are rolled, and the struggle for power ensues.
