The students have 3 days to complete the game or everyone dies due to explosive devices on their necks, they are given random weapons and the only rules to follow is avoid the danger zone and don't cause any trouble or the army will kill them. Mistrust, fear and hate run rampant and chaos spread among the students and they soon give in to the fight for survival.

Asuka is a model and dancer, left without a place to stay in Tokyo. She starts sharing an apartment belonging to a friend's friend, Kasumi, who at the start is not too friendly, and obviously has a baggage of problems of her own. The troubles begin when Asuka witnesses a gruesome killing across the street from Kasumi's apartment: through the window she spots a lean woman dressed in black leather slicing a tied-up man with a scalpel. When the police arrive at the scene, they find a man meticulously disemboweled, with voodoo symbols carved into his skin. An inspector follows the psycho-cult lead by going to a mysterious expert on such matters, while a young paparazzo (Tatsuo) is always near the death scenes. Other bodies appear (some sent by regular mail directly to the police), all cut and decorated into morbid works of art, with a kiss left with black lipstick on white paper next to each body…

It seems everyone is interested in that tree which is called Charisma, from the tree planters to a professor of botany. As the days goes by the detective uncovers that it is more of a sick obsession that everyone has rather than a simple interest.

In the year 2000, a Hong Kong pop star and a Taiwanese teen idol lend their acting talents (I use the term very loosely for the latter) to the ultimate Hong Kong buddy action flick. With the international film talents of Mark Dacascos and Coolio (again, I use the term very loosey for the latter) paired up as the bad guys and a Japanese super model as the mysterious secret agent, the ultimate cast is in place. Together, these players mingle in a story of corruption, scandal, and action. The two cop buddies (Kwok and Wom) stumble onto a crime scene of a big triad boss who was slaughtered by one of his most trustworthy man (Dacascos) in order to let local drug pin (Coolio) to make a fat wad of cash by selling his drugs. Not only are the Chinese involved in the investigation, but so are the Japanese with the help of an agent (Fujiwara). The rabbit hole only gets deeper when we discover Fujiwara is after Coolio because he killed her ex-partner and Wom's girlfield (Ruby Lin) has a police
