"The Android of Notre Dame is a simple tale of a dwarf scientist who's sister is ailing from a life-threatening disease. He has been struggling in his lab with animal research, desperately trying to find the missing link that could make his sibling well again. Contacted by via phone by a mysterious man, he transfers money in exchange for a female human body to experiment on, or a "Guinea Pig". The body proves too old, thus he decides to get something a little more fresh, opening the floodgates for experiments of a more diabolical kind.

There isn't really much of a story to speak of in this film. It poses as a "documentation" found by someone, with text scrolling at the beginning to explain it. It cites that the following video was created by three unknown men, and contains a woman being tortured in order to test the limitations of pain. Then, after the film, we find out that the names of both the three men and the victim have never been discovered. So in reality, it's a fake snuff film. At least it doesn't pretend to be more than that.

Hideshi Hino has received a package from an anonymous sender. Inside this package laid the hideous contents that outlined, in detail, the ritualistic killing of a young woman. Within this package were photographs, a video, and a note explaining why this heinous act had taken place. Inspired, Hideshi Hino took up the camera and filmed a movie that would recreate the crime for the world to see. Retaining every bit of the nihilistic terror that the snuff film in the package presented, "Flower of Flesh and Blood" was unleashed upon the world to experience.

A hapless painter is traumatized by his wife's departure. He wallows in his own grief by visiting the hideously trashy sewers and drawing the bizarre discoveries he finds. Why would any man find comfort in such a disgusting place? Because in his childhood, the sewer was once a river that he frolicked around. One day, he stumbles across a mermaid that he had met during his childhood. Ever since the construction of the sewer, she's been stuck in the god forsaken hole. The painter's passion is rejuvenated and he proceeds to paint her. However, due to the highly polluted environment, the mermaid becomes infected and sores begin to form in her abdominal region. The painter, heartbroken that the mermaid was in such pain, brings her back to his apartment and puts her in a bath tub to aide her back to health. At the same time, he's also trying to complete his artwork that the mermaid has inspired. The mermaid's condition only worsens and her whole body becomes infested by the terrible sores. T

Story? What story? The film's title refers to the part of the psyche residing in the uncoscious that is the source of instinctive impulses that seek satisfaction in accordance with the pleasure principle and are modified by the ego and the superego (in those of us that have such subtle super-structures!). Now, that's a perfect alibi to throw away any linear storytelling, logic, motivation, characterisation and the like down the drain and indulge in the succession of irrational imagery which may or may not be linked with perverted sexuality, voyeurism, rape, cross-dressing, masturbation and… mutation into giant pig-men? Some of the highlights include: the giant retard with pigtails, dressed like a schoolgirl; a 20-something playing the 9-year old boy; a transvestite whose attempted rape ends in beating after his 'unexpected parts' are discovered; a rather convincing-looking 'taking a crap' scene; a face peeled off; a giant bloody vagina-like orifice in a woman's belly; more bloodied and
