(from DVD case) Special Unit "2002" is a designated task force of SPI (Spirit & Paranormal Investigation) in the law enforcement department, ridding the human world of evil deeds of haunting spirits via an execution team comprised of a man and a ghost. Being a psychic, Chiu (Nicholas Tse) is joined by Sam (Sam Lee) to the cause of law enforcement, but Sam's time for reincarnation is approaching. Chiu is learning that Fung (Stephen Fung), a human being with the psychic power of supernatural vision, is destined to be his new partner. Though gifted, Fung is ironically too scared of the dead to contribute during combats. After the funeral of the spy, Jacky decides to follow the clues which not only leads him to a possible fortune but into a whole lot of trouble.

But after Lung is thought to have shot a man, he flees to New York and stays with his preacher friend and his daughter. Of course, bad goes to worse when they get caught in rival crossfire and they die before Lung’s very eyes. This makes him a completely insane vegetable, and he is taken under the care of Ken (Chow Yun-Fat) who is the twin brother of Mark (A Better Tomorrow 1 , also played by Fat). While on patrol they ran into a gang of violent criminals and several of their fellow policemen were injured. Bill took this personally and vowed to stop the criminals. With some information from the investigation department, they found out this gang was led by a man called the Professor. They follow the trail of clues against the orders from their superiors and finally discover the plan of the criminals and decide to stop them.

When they arrive to the car the body is gone, and soon after the mall is crawling with Zombies. They find other survivors and fight for their lives to try to get out.
